Siwa Oasis (New Attractions) – Thu/Fri/Sat/Sun 3/4/5/6 October 2013

Enjoy your weekend in the paradise of Siwa, the best sunset at Fitnas & the best safari trip in Egypt (the great sand sea) & Sandboarding.

This program is different than any other usual programs, we will visit new attractions:

- Sheiata Lake...
- Footsteps of the first man kind – اثار اقدام الانسان القديم
- Fossils in the desert
- Meteor Rock - نيزك سقط من السماء
- Siwian House (optional)
- EL Salam Mountain
- Swimming at beer wahed

Beside the normal attractions:
Sandboarding – Offroading adventure in the dunes using land cruisers - Shali Village - Aghourmi City (ma3bad el eskandar) - Amoun Temple - Cleopatra spring - Gabal EL Mawta (Mountain of the dead), Watch Sunset @ Fitnas.


Our Program: 4 days/ 3 nights

Thursday 3 October (early morning) to Sunday 6 October by night (arrive Cairo before curfew with enough time)

Day 1: Thursday 3 October, Travelling to Siwa, checking in the hotel & tribes meeting.
Travel from Cairo (early morning), arriving Siwa then have special meeting with one of the Siwian tribe's leader (Sheikh Kabila) to exchange culture & know more about their traditions.
then have a good sleep.

Day 2: Friday 4 October, visiting the oasis attractions + Friday prayer

1. Shali Village
2. Aghourmi City (ma3bad el eskandar)
3. Amoun Temple
4. Cleopatra spring
5. Gabal EL Mawta (Mountain of the dead)
6. Watch Sunset @ Fitnas
7. Siwian House
8. EL Salam Mountain

By night we can have a BBQ Bedouin night

Day 3: Saturday 5 October, Safari Trip (Full Day: new attractions)
Great Sand Sea Safari

1. Sandboarding
2. Sheiata Lake
3. Footsteps of the first man kind – اثار اقدام الانسان القديم
4. Fossils in the desert
5. Meteor Rock - نيزك سقط من السماء
6. Off-roading the endless sand dunes with land cruisers
7. Beer Wahed (lake near the Libyan borders) <Enjoy Swimming>

Day 4: Sunday 6 October, downtown & shopping
free time to cruise the oasis and enjoy the endless palm trees by bicycle or donkey cart (Karetta) , also buy the Siwian Molo5eya, olive oil and the wonderful siwian dates as presents for your family and friends in Cairo.

Then back to Cairo inshalah (arriving before curfew with enough time)


Fees: 550 le
including: Transportation – Accommodation – visiting all oasis attractions
(excluding: food, جدى مشوى & safari, safari trip costs: 170 le - optional)
Safari is optional , and it is paid during the event.

Food:
Abdo Restaurant for breakfast & lunch (Highly recommended by Rahala Club, Lonely planet & Trip advisor)
best food: foul - Falafel – Cheese with Siwian Olive Oil - siwian bread – siwian molo5eya – tawagen el koskosi el siwi
(food prices are very cheap)


Transportation: 1 air-conditioned luxurious bus
Accommodation: Kelany Hotel (double & triple rooms with bathrooms) <better than Cleopatra hotel>

1. Places are limited; kindly register early to get the double rooms.
2. Only the last 6 members to register will stay together in one dorm. (but all other members will stay in double & triple rooms)
